CANADIAN RESPONSE PAINTBALL TEAM: STRUCTURE/MEMBERSHIP
1.0 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS:
OWNER/PRESIDENT: Overall supervision of the Team and provides direction in order that the Team maintains the spirit and letter of the Charter. Organize play days, road trips, meetings and other Team events. Maintains the membership list, issues Membership kits/cards. Liaison with sponsors. This is a permanent position unless given over voluntarily. The Owner may ask another Member to take on some or all of these duties at anytime.
TREASURER: Collects money for events and play days, maintains Team finances and acts as liaison between Team and fields in financial matters. Acts as secretary during official team meetings taking down minutes. This is an elected position though there is no length of term, voted on by the Members at the AGM.
MANAGER/CAPTAIN: Maintains, stores, and transports the communal equipment and supplies belonging to the Team (coolers, tables, canopy, chairs, etc). Supports the team while at Team Days, or events. Main point of contact with Field staff/event organizers. This is an elected position though there is no length of term, voted on by the Members at the AGM.
MEMBER: Player in good standing with Canadian Response. Is responsible for knowing and conforming to the Canadian Response Charter.
SPECIAL TITLE MEMBERS: Some members in good standing and through special circumstances, may be granted a SPECIAL TITLE. These titles may be honorary or practical, permanent or temporary and are issued on the sole discretion of the Executive.
2.0 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:
AGM will be held once a year (usually in the spring) to allow for discussion of Team business, Executive election if applicable, and upcoming Play Days, and Events. This also allows all the older Members to reconnect, as well as giving new members a chance to meet everyone.
3.0 JERSEYS, MEMBERSHIP CARDS AND DUES:
JERSEYS: Canadian Response Jerseys are produced for each individual Member at the time of their Joining Canadian Response. Each Member has the opportunity to put their name, nickname (if they'd like) and number on the back. Every Member must remember our jerseys announce who we are and how we play. Jerseys are the property of The Canadian Response Paintball Team Owner and will be returned upon request. If a Member's jersey is recalled, that member will be refunded the cost of the jersey.
MEMEMBERSHIP CARD: A Membership Card is included with every Member's Information Package and has the Member's name, nickname, and membership number. The Membership Card gives the Member the right to vote at the AGM, as well as may provide discounts at some fields.
DUES: Membership in Canadian Response is free, though each Member is responsible for their own playing/field costs. The Executive may ask members to assist in the purchase of team equipment. Specific purchases will be discussed and voted on at the ABM.
TOURNAMENTS: Any Member may enter competitive play at any level in any series. If Members would like to play as “Canadian Response” permission must be granted by the President. Any winnings from individual events is the property of the Members who competed in the event, and should be divided up equally. Any Series winnings will be added to the Team Accounts and will be used for future events/expenses.
