The Canadian Response Charter

The Purpose Of The Charter
The Purpose of the Charter is to establish a standard of play and behavior for current and potential members of Canadian Response. The Team strives to establish and maintain a regimen of safe play and courteous behavior. With this in mind, the Charter has been established to firmly set guidelines expected of current members and to gauge the acceptability of potential and new members.

The Goals Of Canadian Response
Canadian Response was formed to bring together people from all styles of play, and skill levels who wish to play paintball safely with honour, sportsmanship, and fun. Even when playing competitively, the Team will maintain these goals at all times. The Team will endeavour to promote all safe styles of play, in every class.

Player Attitude & Behaviour
In order to maintain an excellent reputation, Canadian Response shall NOT tolerate the following from its members:

  1. Unsportsmanlike conduct

  2. Unsafe behaviour;

  3. Abusive/offensive behaviour and/or language;

  4. Treating new or inexperienced players like "cannon fodder";

  5. Wilfully firing to injure;

  6. Deliberate overshooting;

  7. Cheating in any form, or knowingly breaking field rules;

  8. Arguing, especially with field staff.

Team members will do the following, every time they play:

  1. Play with sportsmanship and honour

  2. Help newer players with their equipment where and when they can;

  3. Because newer players can be intimidated by even the sight of an experienced player, when playing as walk-ons, Team members shall attempt to alleviate any apparent fears or misconceptions newer players may have about the game itself or Team members and their equipment;

  4. Endeavor to provide some leadership, help and encouragement for newer players during actual play;

Membership
Membership is restricted to those who adhere to the letter and spirit of the Rules and Charter established by Canadian Response. Membership is not "lifetime", and ALL current members are on permanent probation. Those who do not strive to abide by the letter and spirit of the Rules and Charter will not be considered for future events and play days. Members who bring guest(s) to Team events shall assume responsibility for that guest or guests.

Finally...
Canadian Response reserves the right to deny any player the opportunity to play with the Team during any future playing days. The Team will not tolerate any player whose actions in any way adversely affect the hard-earned reputation the Team presently enjoys.
